The British Telegraph has pulled back the curtain on radical activist Medea Benjamin, exposing her long-suspected ties to senior figures within the Iranian regime and raising fresh questions about foreign influence inside Western protest movements.

According to Gateway Pundit, Benjamin and Jodie Evans, co-founders of the far-left outfit Code Pink, have spent years marketing their organization as a benign “women’s peace group” while in reality cultivating relationships with some of the world’s most repressive regimes. Evans is married to Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based tech tycoon and radical billionaire who has poured money into anti-American protests across the United States, effectively bankrolling what amounts to a massive political movement aimed at undermining U.S. interests and Western values.

Code Pink’s public image as an “anti-war” group has long been at odds with its behavior, particularly its obsessive hostility toward President Donald Trump, the only modern-era commander in chief who “did not start a war” during his first term. The group’s credibility collapsed further when it continued to vilify President Trump in his second term, even as he worked on “ending at least eight wars globally,” a record that should have pleased any genuine peace organization but instead enraged the professional protest class.
Benjamin herself has been disrupting Congress for decades, repeatedly interrupting hearings and floor proceedings, yet she continues to be granted access to the U.S. Capitol despite these ongoing stunts. As Gateway Pundit has documented for years, Code Pink’s antics are not harmless activism but part of a broader pattern of anti-American agitation, leading many observers on the right to conclude that “Benjamin is a fraud.”

The Telegraph’s Friday exposé adds a far more troubling dimension, revealing that Benjamin has met with and maintained contact with Iranian regime operatives who were later sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury. “In 2014, Medea Benjamin, the co-founder of anti-war organisation Code Pink, was in contact with men later identified by US officials as facilitators for the Islamic Republic’s foreign intelligence. They were sanctioned by the US treasury five years later.”
An intelligence source told the paper that Benjamin was regarded in Tehran as an “asset” of the regime, stating that she advanced “Iran’s influence and narratives” in both the United States and the United Kingdom. “Ms Benjamin is believed to have most recently visited the UK in June. She delivered a talk in which she professed her support for Palestine Action, a proscribed terror organization...”
The Telegraph further reported that “During the three-day event, Ms Benjamin was pictured alongside Nader Talebzadeh and Hamed Ghashghavi.” “In 2019, US intelligence identified both men – who held leadership roles in New Horizon – as go-betweens and spotters for the IRGC’s Quds Force (IRGC-QF), its foreign operations arm, and foreign attendees.”
For conservatives who have long warned that much of the Western protest infrastructure is effectively a propaganda arm for hostile foreign powers, these revelations simply confirm what has been hiding in plain sight. With President Trump pursuing a foreign policy centered on American strength, peace through deterrence, and disentangling the U.S. from endless wars, the fury of groups like Code Pink—and their documented ties to regimes such as Iran—underscores how deeply ideological and anti-American their agenda truly is.
